Dacre has consulted and appeared in recent film documentaries about vampires in literature and popular culture including The Real Vampire Files (2010, History Channel), Secrets of the Dead (2016, PBS) and Mysteries at the Museum, (2017, Travel Channel).

Dacre has become well known and a respected figure in the world of Vampires in both academia and popular culture. He lectures and makes presentations entitled Stoker on Stoker The Mysteries Behind the Writing of Dracula in the U.S. and abroad at various engagements, including:
